Bayshore Therapy & Rehab is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess clients and create, monitor, and revise individualized treatment plans in home and clinic settings.
The role requires strong communication, concise documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Ongoing education, adherence to standards, and commitment to quality are essential. Peterborough location, full-time on-site position.
The Occupational Therapist reports to the Director Therapy & Rehabilitation, Manager of Rehab or designate as appropriate.
Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy. Registered and in good standing with College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
Preference of three years providing Occupational Therapy services. Experience with in-home assessments and treatments; knowledge of auto insurance and the legal system, particularly medical/legal report writing is an asset. ADP is an asset.
Enjoy working with clients of all ages in multiple treatment environments.
Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.
Exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills.
Ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent manner.
Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with a team.
Demonstrated knowledge of personal computers and proficiency with secure email.
Commitment to continual learning.
Valid driver’s license.
The Occupational Therapist must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all duties and responsibilities of this job description, in response to changes by the regulating body, as well as agreed upon specific goals and objectives.
Performance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal review if required. Input will be sought from employees and consultants at the branch and National Service Centre as applicable.
