Bayshore HealthCare in Kingston, Ontario, is looking for an Occupational Therapist responsible for assessing and managing clients requiring Occupational Therapy intervention. You will work under the supervision of the Director of Therapy & Rehab and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, be registered in Ontario, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, and have experience with in-home assessments. This role involves substantial collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure effective treatment.
The Occupational Therapist, under the direction of the Director Therapy & Rehab, Manager of Rehab, or designate, is responsible for completion of professional activities that include: assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients requiring Occupational Therapy intervention, in accordance with professional standards.
The Occupational Therapist reports to the Director Therapy & Rehabilitation, Manager of Rehab or designate as appropriate.
Education: Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy. Registered and in good standing with College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Experience Preference of three years providing Occupational Therapy services. Experience with in-home assessments and treatments; knowledge of auto insurance and the legal system, particularly medical/legal report writing is an asset. ADP is an asset.
The Occupational Therapist must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all duties and responsibilities of this job description, in response to changes by the regulating body, as well as agreed upon specific goals and objectives.
Performance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal review if required. Input will be sought from employees and consultants at the branch and National Service Centre as applicable.
