The Ministry of Social Services, Community Living Service Delivery (CLSD), Clinical Services team has an exciting opportunity for a permanent, part-time Occupational Therapist, who is passionate about enabling individuals with intellectual disabilities to live their lives to the fullest and participate as full citizens in their communities across Saskatchewan. Headquarters are located in Moose Jaw.

Occupational Therapists (OT)in CLSD are developing as a provincial resource, which makes this an excellent opportunity for an (OT) practitioner toenhance their expertise and support positive influences on the systems that impact an individuals’ experience of health and well-being.Our Occupational Therapists have the opportunity to participate on task teams, consult, educate and network to build capacity within the sector to support individuals with high and complex needs.

This position is part of the Clinical Services team of multidisciplinary professionals, (Occupational Therapists (OT), Physical Therapists (PT), Nurses, Behavioural Consultants, and support staff) and collaborates with other professionals and stakeholders.

This position offers opportunity to build supervisory and leadership skills as you will provide direction to support persons and students.You will haveopportunities to influence and shape program design and service delivery practices of the team.

To qualify,an OT professional candidate must be registered or eligible for registration in the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists and be registered or eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. Experience working with individuals in the areas of intellectual disability, mental health and practice areas that include sensory, seating/positioning, home accessibility is considered an asset, but we provide opportunities to build this skill set.

Hours are flexible to support travel and program service delivery based on client needs.Please note, this position may be exposed to the risk of violent situations.
