Job summary

Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking an Occupational Therapist for Saskatoon City Hospital. Reporting to the Manager, you will assess and treat patients within an interdisciplinary team, maintain documentation, and participate in program planning.

The position requires a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, valid driver's license, and BLS, with potential CAOT/Saskatchewan OT registration eligibility. This is a full-time temporary role with days and weekends shifts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree required.
  • CAOT registration or eligibility preferred.
  • Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists registration or eligibility preferred.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients in assigned service areas within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and statistics.
  • Participate in program planning and provide clinical supervision of therapy assistants and OT students.

Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessing and treating patients in assigned service areas within the framework of the interdisciplinary team, maintaining accurate patient documentation and statistical data, participating in program planning required and providing clinical supervision of therapy assistants and occupational therapy students. This will be done in accordance with the Saskatchewan Health Authority mission statement and Therapy Department statement of purpose, policies and procedures of the facility and department.

Education

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

  • Registered/eligible with Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy (CAOT)
