Job summary

The Saskatchewan Health Authority invites applications for an Occupational Therapist (Degree) in the Yorkton Community Services - Public Health setting. You will join the Childrens Occupational Therapy department, reporting to the Program Manager and working with guidance from peers to ensure high-quality therapy for referred patients.

Requirements include a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, BLS certification, and a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, directing and supervising the OT service area.
• Deliver high standard occupational therapy to referred patients/clients.
• Work with clinical guidance from other Occupational Therapists in accordance with professional guidelines.

Job Description: The Occupational Therapist-Degree reports directly to the Program Manager of Childrens Therapy and receives clinical guidance from other Occupational Therapists. The Occupational Therapist-Degree is responsible for assisting in planning, organizing, directing and supervising the activities of the designated service area within the Occupational Therapy Professional Guidelines to ensure that patients/clients referred receive a high standard of occupational therapy. This will be done in accordance with the Sunrise Health Region Mission Statement; the Therapy Department Statement of Purpose; and the policies and procedures of the facility and department. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
