Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for providing occupational health services across our industrial environment. This role works closely with all departments to ensure seamless disability case management, first aid response, and support for occupational health initiatives.

Job Duties:

  1. Manage all medical absence files (short-term and long-term disability).
  2. Coordinate medical accommodations and return-to-work programs.
  3. Oversee pre-employment medical assessments for new hires.
  4. Participate in prevention and well-being activities (vaccination campaigns, hazardous material approvals, etc.).
  5. Provide advice and resources to employees, including assistance through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  6. Oversee the first aid program, monitor safety kits, and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
  7. Participate in prevention activities for workers.
  8. Share information with unionized employees and managers about OHS events.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed RN or LPN in British Columbia.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience, industrial setting an asset.
  • Certification of Advanced First Aid.
  • Experience in Disability Case Management is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
