A healthcare staffing agency is seeking a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse to join the healthcare team. The nurse will assess and enhance employee health programs, conduct medical assessments, and manage disability programs. Certification as a registered nurse in Ontario is required, along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. This part-time position is in-person, located in Lennox and Addington County, Greater Napanee.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) certification in Ontario.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and computer proficiency.
  • Organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join the healthcare team. The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating employee health programs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Providing Occupational Health Nursing care and support to employees, supervisors and managers while completing job duties at the client site.
  • Performing pre-employment and periodic medical assessments.
  • Managing workplace medical surveillance programs.
  • Delivering proactive health promotion and wellness programs.
  • Case management and administrating all aspects of disability management and return-to-work programs.
  • Ensuring compliance with Privacy Legislation (PHIPA).
Qualifications
  • Be certified as a registered nurse (RN) or registered practical nurse (RPN) in the province of Ontario and hold current membership with the College of Nurses.
  • Have strong interpersonal and computer-based skills.
  • Possess organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, problem solve, and work both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experience in Occupational Health Nursing is a definite asset.
