Alberta Health Services (Royal Alexandra Hospital) in Edmonton seeks a Registered Nurse specializing in obstetrics to provide comprehensive nursing care in Labour & Delivery, Obstetrical OR and Induction areas, with cross-coverage to Antepartum as needed.

The role requires extensive obstetrics expertise, ability to handle emergencies, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate patient care across antepartum, labour, delivery, and postpartum periods.

Competenze

Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Minimum of two (2) years of obstetrics nursing experience in the last five (5) years.
Advanced studies in Obstetrics, including fetal monitoring or midwifery, and certifications in Newborn Resuscitation, Breastfeeding, Trauma Informed Care and Fetal Health Surveillance are required.
A successful medication exam must be completed following interview.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, establishing respectful relationships with patients, families, staff, and physicians.
Strong interpersonal communication, critical thinking, organizational, collaboration, and conflict management skills are essential.
Experience with Connect Care and Connect Care Stork is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel required.
Meet Physical Demands Requirements due to the unit's emergent nature, including: Significant walking and standing.
