Job summary

Discovery Kidd in Timmins, Ontario, seeks a Superintendent, Operations & Maintenance Projects to lead planning and execution of operational, maintenance, infrastructure, and capital projects at Kidd Operations. Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance & Engineering, you will manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and contractor teams, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires a degree in engineering or technologist diploma, with 3 years in mining or project execution; CMMS

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering or a technologist/technician diploma is preferred.
• Three years of relevant mining, maintenance, operations, engineering, or project execution experience.
• Demonstrated experience planning/executing operational, maintenance, infrastructure, or capital projects.
• Strong understanding of project controls including scope, schedule, cost, forecasting, risk, and change management.
• Proven ability to lead teams, coordinate contractors, and work across departments.

• Lead, coach, and develop project teams with clear expectations for safety and quality.
• Manage projects from scope through engineering, execution, commissioning, and handover.
• Develop practical project plans with operations, maintenance, engineering and procurement.
• Maintain scopes, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk registers.
• Monitor progress and implement recovery plans as needed.
• Manage changes through management-of-change processes.
• Coordinate work with production to minimize disruption.
• Provide regular progress updates and forecast costs.
• Resolve technical and execution challenges and drive reliability improvements.
