Job summary

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and medical terminology knowledge.
• Graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program.
• One year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Nursing Unit Clerk certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe and process physicians' orders and communicate with other departments and hospitals.
• Coordinate appointments, arrange tests and receive results, and direct visitors.
• Answer phones, assemble and maintain charts, and perform keyboarding and data entry.
