Job summary

Memorial University in Gander seeks a Nursing Laboratory Instructor to teach and supervise nursing labs for the B.S.N. (Collaborative) program, collaborating with course instructors to design and run labs and experiential activities.

The role involves updating lab materials based on current evidence, coordinating simulation activities, and ensuring safety, inventory, and scheduling are managed effectively. Evening/weekend hours may be required to support lab practice.

Qualifications

3–5 years of nursing experience including acute care and community settings.
Registered Nurse with a Newfoundland and Labrador registration.
Strong computer, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills.
Post-secondary teaching experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Instruct and assist nursing students in practical lab techniques and activities.
Design, prepare, and teach labs and experiential learning opportunities.
Collaborate with faculty and other instructors on content and teaching strategies, including simulation.
Prepare teaching aids and facilitate learning during lab sessions.
Mark and grade lab reports and evaluate student performance; supervise student assistants.
