Ideal candidates hold a BN/BScN or equivalent, are eligible for CNBN registration, and have at least two years of clinical nursing and preceptorship experience. The role emphasizes teaching in labs, simulations, and clinical settings, with involvement in curriculum and quality initiatives.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting Clinical/Lab Instructors in full-time and part-time capacities.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Deliver high-quality instruction in laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings as assigned.
• Design and facilitate meaningful learning experiences that support the achievement of lab and clinical courses and program outcomes.
• Promote the development of clinical reasoning, professional judgment, evidence-informed practice, and ethical decision-making.
• Integrate current nursing standards, research, and best practices into teaching activities.

Student Support and Evaluation

• Assess and evaluate student performance using established courses and program outcomes.
• Provide timely feedback that supports academic growth and professional development.
• Mentor and guide students in achieving clinical and academic competencies.
• Maintain accurate records related to student progress, evaluations, and course activities.

Program Responsibilities

• Participate in curriculum review, development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with faculty colleagues, clinical partners, and healthcare stakeholders.
• Contribute to accreditation activities, program evaluation, and institutional initiatives.
• Maintain professional competence through ongoing scholarship, professional development, and engagement in nursing practice.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committees, and program planning activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing (BN, BScN, or equivalent) required.
• Current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the College of New Brunswick Nurses (CNBN).
• Minimum of two years of recent and relevant clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in preceptorship or clinical education.
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with student assessment.
• Proficiency with educational technologies, learning management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated commitment to equity, professionalism, and student-centered learning.
