Job summary

UNC Health in Raleigh, NC seeks a Nursing Assistant I for the Rex UNC 6 East Flex Unit. Provides routine direct and indirect patient care under RN/physician supervision in a fast-paced med-surg/psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with exams, monitoring vitals, documenting patient information, supporting families, and helping with admissions and discharge. Requirements include Nursing Assistant I certification, BLS, and six months of CNA experience; English fluency and basic

Qualifications

Fluent in verbal and written English language.
Able to develop basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies during emergency situations.
Observe, collect, and document patient information and report significant changes to a nurse or physician.
Provide direct personal care to patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding and assisting with ambulation.
Provide care/treatments per plan of care including vital signs, wound care, and range of motion exercises.
Support patient education and orientation to hospital/clinic/home health experience.
