Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. in Nanaimo is seeking a licensed nurse to help deliver health, beauty and convenience services with a patient‑centred focus.

You will work with the pharmacy team to develop the nursing service offering and provide vaccines and related health care support. You will assess health status, offer vaccines based on travel or health needs, and educate patients on device use and monitoring for conditions such as diabetes or hypertension.

Qualifications

• Be a member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec.
• Hold a DCS or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Be familiar with the PIQ and travel health.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status and provide vaccines such as influenza and herpes zoster.
• Identify and offer vaccines based on travel destination.
• Provide services related to hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia and anticoagulant therapy.
• Instruct on the use of devices like glucometers and blood pressure monitors.
• Welcome patients in a professional and caring manner; collaborate with the pharmacy team.
