Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. in Canada is seeking a registered nurse to join our community pharmacy team.

You will deliver health services, take blood samples, assess vaccination needs and support patients with chronic conditions. Work with pharmacists to expand nursing services, provide patient education on devices like glucometers and blood pressure monitors, and maintain a welcoming, professional environment for all customers.

Qualifications

• Must be a member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec.
• Hold a DCS or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Be familiar with the PIQ and travel health.

Responsibilities

• Assess vaccination status and provide appropriate vaccines (influenza, herpes zoster, etc.).
• Take blood samples and assess health status to offer indicated vaccines.
• Offer services related to hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia and anticoagulant therapy.
• Provide instruction on using devices such as glucometers and blood pressure monitors.
• Welcome patients in a professional and caring manner, collaborating with the pharmacy team.
• Develop and contribute to the nursing service offering with pharmacy colleagues.
