Lying just inland between the State's coastal mountain ranges and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Adventist Health Reedley has been serving the Central Valley since 2011. We are comprised of a 49-bed acute care hospital and 60 clinics in 27 rural communities with primary and specialty care services. Reedley is a perfect location for outdoor enthusiasts as it is located in the central San Joaquin Valley portion of California, close to Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon National Parks. In addition to the beautiful landscape, it also offers a great cost of living and close-knit communities.

Job Summary

Responsible for providing expert clinical care in general or specialty areas. Assesses, plans, and provides patient care in collaboration with the attending physician. Provides comprehensive health assessments, medical diagnoses of acute and chronic illnesses, writes prescriptions, and formulates treatment plans. Diagnoses medical conditions, plans, and implements interventions. Assists in medical/surgical care and evaluates responses in collaboration with attending and consulting physicians.

Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
  • Two years' relevant clinical experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in the state of practice: Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQIBLS) certification: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent certification: Required
Essential Functions
  • Interview patients, family members, and/or staff. Conduct comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations. Evaluate patient behavior and health needs interpretation. Work under the scope of practice of a nurse practitioner and as an agent of the physician.
  • Provide treatment, including administering medications and vaccines, and performing procedures as needed. Operate within the scope of practice of a nurse practitioner and as an agent of the physician.
  • Write medication orders, subject to medical consultation and checking.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
