Position Details

Role Responsibilities

As part of the Surgical System team, you will provide nursing care in the Outpatient Procedure Suites, including procedures such as endoscopy (colonoscopy, gastroscopy, ERCP, bronchoscopy), urologic surgeries (TURP, laser stone extraction, cystoscopy), and minor surgeries across urology, plastic, and ENT specialties. You will promote patient safety and advocacy within an interprofessional team environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with undergraduate degree
• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Postgraduate Certificate in Operating Room Nursing
• Current BCLS certification
• Preferred: Minimum 2 years in endoscopy-related procedures
• Knowledge of OPANA standards is an asset
• Membership in the RNAO
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Proficient with computers
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and leadership
• Good attendance and performance record
• Commitment to a safe, compliant workplace

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, days; schedule may vary based on operational needs.
