$97,100 to $113,163 (Over and above salary, nurses receive an annual allowance, from $605 to $3,850, depending on education level. In addition, Nurse Practitioners receive an annual allowance of $18,000.)

The Canadian Forces Health Services (CFHS) is the designated health care provider for Canada’s military personnel, delivering medical and dental services at military installations across Canada and overseas. EDUCATION:
ED1. Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program approved or recognized by the provincial/territorial regulatory authority with a specialty certificate in either Nurse Practitioner – Adult (NP-Adult) or Nurse Practitioner – Primary Health Care (NP-PHC).
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Eligibility for registration as a Nurse Practitioner (NP, RN(EC), RN(NP), or RN(EP)) in a province or territory of Canada, and no current license suspensions/restrictions with any professional regulatory organizations.
EXPERIENCE
EX1 – Significant* and recent ** experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a community or clinical setting
EX2 – Experience in ambulatory care, acute care or community health care
EX3 – Experience in adult education and health promotion
EX4 – Experience in accessing professional literature to provide current, evidence based care
*Significant is defined as at least seventeen-hundred (1,700) hours of experience in a broad range of related activities. 1,700 hours is equivalent to one-year of full-time work.
** Recent is defined as within the last 3 years
EXPERIENCE:
AEX1 – Experience working in a collaborative practice environment
AEX2 – Experience working within the Canadian Armed Forces Health Services
AEX3 – Experience in medical procedures (inserting intrauterine devices, joint injections, dermatologic procedures etc.)
AEX4 – Experience completing musculoskeletal assessments/treatment
AEX5 – Experience with assessing and managing Mental Health conditions
AEX6 – Experience related to safe, effective and ethical prescribing and managing clients who are treated with controlled substances
AEX7 – Experience in women’s health
KNOWLEDGE
K1 – Knowledge in assessing, diagnosing, treating and managing a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions as a Nurse Practitioner
