Job summary

University Health Network (UHN) seeks a Registered Nurse for the Nursing Resource Team at Toronto General Hospital. The role involves staffing across UHN sites, providing compassionate and competent care, and adhering to professional and ethical standards.

Requires BScN, current Ontario registration, and BCLS certification, with strong communication, teamwork and decision-making abilities. A supportive union environment and diverse shifts are offered.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario preferred.
• Eligible for NGG (new grad guarantee) required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and decision making skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, collaborative and competent nursing care per standards.
• Fill staffing gaps across Toronto General and Toronto Western Hospitals.
• Apply nursing science, theory, and critical decision making in care provision.
• Ensure practice aligns with professional standards and ethical framework.
• Engage in continuing education to meet patient population needs.
• Engage in reflective practice to improve nursing and patient care.
• Perform cross-functional responsibilities as requested.
