Job summary

The Toronto Rehabilitation Institute Staffing Resource Team at University Health Network (UHN) is seeking an experienced Registered Practical Nurse to join the permanent, full-time staffing pool across two Toronto Rehab sites. You will plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care within the RPN scope and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

The role requires current Ontario licensure, a nursing diploma, BCLS, and strong assessment and communication skills, with RPNAO membership preferred.

Qualifications

• Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Diploma in Nursing (RPN) from a recognized program.
• Successful completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (C level).
• Member of RPNAO preferred.
• Proficient in English; strong assessment and clinical decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and evaluate nursing care within the RPN scope of practice.
• Use theory and team input to plan and implement patient care.
• Participate in inter-professional rounds and family conferences.
• Provide mentorship to RPN students and new staff.
• Support hospital initiatives and patient safety efforts.
• Work across two Toronto Rehab sites as needed on scheduled shifts.
