Job summary

The Tlicho Community Services Agency in the Northwest Territories is seeking a Nurse in Charge for the Jimmy Erasmus Seniors Home. You will lead daily operations, ensure safe resident care, and coach a dedicated team to deliver compassionate, culturally respectful services.

You bring a Bachelor of Nursing and at least three years of RN experience, including a year in Long Term Care and supervisory exposure. Registration with CANNN and a valid Class 5 driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing Degree required.
• Minimum three (3) years of RN experience, including one (1) year in Long Term Care and one (1) year in supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the long-term care facility.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, performance, and staff development.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, quality nursing and resident care.
• Develop, implement, and monitor resident care plans.
• Provide clinical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to nursing and support staff.
• Collaborate with physicians, families, and healthcare professionals to support resident well-being.
• Monitor quality improvement initiatives, audits, and program evaluations.
• Promote culturally respectful, resident-centered care.
