Job summary

Desjardins Group is seeking a temporary Claims Advisor to develop and implement strategies for life and health insurance claims, occupational health, and disability management. The role involves advising clients and partners, and collaborating across stakeholders to improve programs and standards.

You will diagnose issues, develop action plans, verify treatment plans, and help insureds return to work. A strong analytical approach and bilingual communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of four years of relevant experience.
• Bilingual French and English communication due to duties and interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients.

Responsibilities

Job Overview

Temporary position for 12 months. As a claims advisor, you help develop and implement strategies for life and health insurance claims, occupational health and disability management. You advise and assist clients and partners as part of intervention and development initiatives. You recommend solutions to improve or optimize standards, policies and programs. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization’s objectives and priorities. You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential.

What you bring to the table
