Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart Inc. is seeking a registered nurse to join our locally owned store team in Port Coquitlam.

You will work with the pharmacy team to deliver health, beauty and convenience services to the community, with a focus on vaccination programs and patient education. The role emphasizes patient-centred care, travel health, and collaborating to expand nursing services, while complying with provincial regulations and the Québec immunization protocol.

Qualifications

• Be a member of the Ordre des infirmiers et infirmières du Québec.
• Familiar with the PIQ (Protocole d’immunisation du Québec) and travel health.
• Hold a DCS or bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status and provide vaccines such as influenza and herpes zoster.
• Identify and offer vaccines based on the travel destination.
• Offer services related to hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia and anticoagulant therapy.
• Provide instruction on the use of glucometers and blood pressure monitors.
• Welcome patients in a professional and caring manner and work with the pharmacy team to develop nursing services.
