Job summary

Autism Services seeks a Registered Nurse A for Prince Albert's Victoria Hospital Emergency Department. This part-time role supports patient care across days and nights with 0.71 FTE and 11.78-hour rotations.

The RN A will assess, plan, implement and evaluate client-centered care, maintain high standards, and collaborate with the Nursing Unit Manager and team in a fast-paced setting. Requirements include a BScN, CRNS with BCLS, TNCC preferred, and SANE certification in progress; strong teamwork

Qualifications

• 3 years acute care nursing including 1 year recent Emergency nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and CRNS registration.
• Current BCLS, TNCC or trauma course desired; SANE certification required.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse A is responsible to The Nursing Unit Manager or Director of Nursing. The Registered Nurse A is responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care in accordance with the vision, mission and philosophy of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. As a member of The Nursing Department, The Registered Nurse A has the responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client centered care.

• 3 years acute care nursing including 1 year recent Emergency nursing required

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
• Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification.

• Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or other trauma assessment course desired
• Required to complete an Adult Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners training
• Required to be SANE certified and maintain that certification
