Job Description

• The Registered Nurse A reports to the Nursing Unit Manager or Director of Nursing.
• Maintains a high standard of patient care in accordance with the vision, mission and philosophy of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates comprehensive client‑centered care.
• Works as a member of the Nursing Department and performs duties in the Emergency unit.

Experience

• 3 years of acute care nursing, including at least 1 year of recent Emergency nursing experience.

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
• Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification.

Other Education and Training

• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or other trauma assessment course (desired).
• SANE certification required and must be maintained.
• Adult Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (ASNE) training completion required.
• Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS).
