Job summary

Kinectrics in Toronto, ON, is seeking an Analyst/Engineer in Radiation Assessment and Decommissioning for a permanent, entry-to-intermediate role. You will lead safety analyses, develop new models, and prepare regulatory submissions to support CNSC requirements.

Working with a multidisciplinary team, you will use tools like SCALE, MCNP, Attila and Microshield, travel 10–25% as needed, and contribute to continuous improvement within Nuclear Safety & Licensing.

Qualifications

  • Four-year university degree in Nuclear Engineering or Physics; postgraduate degree asset.
  • 3+ years in nuclear safety assessment; exceptional grads considered.
  • Strong knowledge of CNSC regulations and QA requirements.
  • Experience with nuclear safety codes and standards is desired.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Licensed PE is an asset and willingness to travel 10–25%.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct safety analysis using state-of-the-art software.
  • Develop analytical methods and models.
  • Prepare technical documents for regulatory submissions.
  • Assess client problems and determine solutions.
  • Interface with multi-disciplinary teams and stay current in field.
  • Promote safety and quality across projects.
