Job summary

CPUS Engineering in Ajax, Ontario, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA/QC program across concurrent nuclear and civil projects. You will own the program from pre-bid through corrective action, act as the primary QA interface with clients, and direct the QC team to ensure compliant execution.

The role requires leadership, ISO 9001 expertise, and experience managing QA across multiple sites, with travel to active project sites in Ontario.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in managing quality staff and driving a culture of quality.
• Engineering degree or equivalent experience in construction, quality management, or related field.
• 7+ years in QA/QC for construction, industrial, or nuclear contracting; 3+ years in lead/manager role.
• Experience building ITPs, PSSQPs, and NCR/CAPA systems and interpreting contract quality requirements.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and hands-on auditing; internal/lead auditor training.
• Ability to manage quality across multiple projects under schedule pressure.
• Excellent documentation and stakeholder management; client-facing quality authority.
• Eligible for site access qualifications for nuclear facilities (e.g., CNL, Cameco).

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the QA/QC program within the IMS, including ISO 9001, CSA N-series.
• Lead pre-bid quality reviews and contract quality deliverables.
• Develop and approve Inspection & Test Plans and project-specific quality plans.
• Manage NCRs and CAPAs with root-cause analysis.
• Oversee site quality surveillance, inspections, tests, and material verification.
• Maintain Approved Vendor List and manage supplier quality/nonconformances.
• Plan and conduct internal audits; support client and registrar audits.
• Provide QA inputs to management reviews and weekly reporting.
