Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions in Darlington, ON is seeking a Jr. Project Coordinator Co-op for Winter 2027. The role supports the Site Establishment team across Fabrication, Warehouse and Administration buildings, with close collaboration to the Senior Project Manager and project team.

You will handle administrative tasks, maintain communications, and help track project deliverables on a Nuclear market project. This 8–12 month internship offers hands-on experience at a major energy construction site.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Reading blueprints is an asset.
• Valid G license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work in-person at site office/trailer.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of Comprehensive Work Package in cooperation with construction and engineering.
• Identify, report, and secure approval for deviations from the design documents as they occur and before release to construction.
• Provide assurance that construction activities are performed in accordance with written and approved policy, standards, programs and applicable procedures.
• Provide and ensure effectiveness of the liaison function between field trades and design engineers for problem resolution and information flow.
• Provides status and progress reports to project team, and management.
• Establish and maintain interfaces with other internal groups, subcontractors and suppliers supporting the project.
• Develop and write detailed work plans in cooperation with construction leads.
• Maintain high standards related to final product quality.
• Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.
• Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, as built drawings, turnover documents, etc.
• Reviews project design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, contract requirements and related specifications.
• Coordinates activities relating to technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems.
• Interfaces with team members to provide project status reports and ensures project needs are met.
• Other duties assigned.
