Job summary

WELL Health Diagnostic Centres in Calgary seeks a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare and administer radioactive materials for diagnostic imaging and therapies. The role emphasizes patient safety, quality control, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology diploma or bachelor’s degree in medicalRadiation Sciences.
• Current and valid Certificate of Registration with the Association of Medical Radiation Technologists of Alberta.
• Current BLS Certification
• WHMIS
• Knowledge and proficiency in general nuclear medicine procedures.
• Proficiency in Velox and computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures including bone, brain, thyroid, liver, spleen, hepatobiliary, renal scans and lung imaging.
• Maintain quality control and document results as required.
• Observe and report malfunctions of nuclear medicine equipment and follow manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensure safe handling and administration of radioactive materials; adhere to safety protocols.
