Qualifications

  • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist licensed to practice.

Job description

Are you a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Diagnostic Imaging department.

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, this position performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with departmental policies. Duties include preparing patients for examination, operating nuclear medicine equipment, monitoring patient during procedures, preparing, dispensing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing routine quality control tests on imaging equipment, monitoring area utilizing appropriate detection devices and disposing of radioactive substances and contaminated items by following established guidelines.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 06:30 to 14:48, 07:00 to 15:18, 07:30 to 15:48, 08:00 to 16:18, 09:00 to 17:18

  • Provides undergraduate physician training through the Northern Medical Program, run by the University of British Columbia and University of Northern British Columbia.
  • Hosts residents in UBC’s Family Practice Residency Program
  • Is a key clinical education site for nursing and many health sciences students at UNBC, the College of New Caledonia, BCIT and other institutions.
