In accordance with the established vision and values of the organization, this position performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with departmental policies. Duties include preparing patients for examination, operating nuclear medicine equipment, monitoring patients during procedures, preparing, dispensing, and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing routine quality control tests on imaging equipment, monitoring areas utilizing appropriate detection devices, and disposing of radioactive substances and contaminated items by following established guidelines.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday / Days - 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00
Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre is a 46-bed hospital with 115 residential care beds in the adjoining Peace Villa Care Home. They have two state-of-the-art operating rooms, ambulatory clinics including cancer care and hemodialysis, emergency and ICU, a birthing centre with single maternity rooms for labour, delivery, and post-partum.
Fort St. John is located above the Peace River Valley, with a diverse population of approximately 21,000 (2021) and serves an area of about 69,000.
