Job summary

Black & McDonald Limited's Nuclear Services team seeks a Health, Safety, Environment Advisor to implement and maintain HSE programs within the Region, ensuring compliance with federal, provincial, municipal regulations and customer requirements for working in a Nuclear Facility.

The role partners with trades Supervisors and Site Managers to support safe work execution through program compliance, investigations, coaching, and data analysis on HSE indicators.

Qualifications

• Construction Safety Advisor designation or better.
• Ongoing discipline training in health, safety & environmental issues.
• Proven experience in Safety, Human Performance, and Continuous Improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observations and assessments 75% of the time.
• Develop safe work practices and job procedures.
• Conduct investigations of workplace incidents and injuries.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety training.
• Liaise with management, HR and HSE teams to ensure compliance.
• Provide HSE indicators and reporting on project activity.
