Job summary

The Industrial Control Electrician role at Sotera Health focuses on installing, maintaining, and modifying electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations in a Class 1B nuclear facility. You will follow ISO/GMP programs and support safety systems and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Operations, you will use blueprints and test equipment to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and help develop preventive maintenance programs for critical systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent and at least 5 years experience as a journeyman.
• Must have a diploma from a community college in electrical.
• Must possess Interprovincial Seal Ontario License for Electrician - Construction and Maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematics to guide installation and maintenance.
• Assemble, install, and maintain electrical equipment and distribution systems.
• Perform tests with multimeters, meggers and related equipment; analyze results.
• Develop test procedures and maintenance programs for safety systems.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/GMP and nuclear safety requirements.
• Collaborate on Building Management System (BMS) tasks and improvements.
