Job summary

Nordion, part of Sotera Health, is seeking an Industrial Control Electrician to maintain and modify electrical equipment in a Class 1B nuclear facility. You will follow ISO/GMP, inspect with test gear, and support safety-critical systems.

The role requires reading blueprints, building management system work, and adherence to nuclear safety programs. Responsibilities include installing high/low voltage devices, troubleshooting, and coordinating with the supervisor to plan preventive maintenance

Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent and at least 5 years experience as a journeyman.
  • Diploma from a community college in electrical.
  • Interprovincial Seal Ontario License for Electrician - Construction and Maintenance.
  • Shift/overtime availability.
  • Able to read blueprints, schematics and perform electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and maintain electrical/electronic equipment and distribution systems.
  • Test with meters, amp probes, Megger; analyze results to fix malfunctions.
  • Develop test procedures for safety-critical systems; comply with nuclear regulations and GMP/ISO.
  • Operate and maintain the Building Management System for energy management.
  • Provide drawings of changes and support Emergency Response Team as needed.
