The Industrial Control Electrician role at Sotera Health focuses on installing, maintaining, and modifying electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations in a Class 1B nuclear facility. You will follow ISO/GMP programs and support safety systems and regulatory compliance.
Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Operations, you will use blueprints and test equipment to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and help develop preventive maintenance programs for critical systems.

The Industrial Control Electrician is responsible for using good electrical principles to install, maintain or modify electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations of systems in a Class 1B nuclear facility. Maintaining and following quality programs, systems, and procedures necessary to ensure that Nordion meets ISO/GMP compliance. Position Summary Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Operations, the Industrial Control Electrician will be responsible for using good electrical principles to install, maintain or modify electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations of systems. Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment and systems using best trade practices. Maintaining and following quality programs, systems, and procedures necessary to ensure that Nordion meets ISO/GMP compliance. Monitors work activities to identify and implement any improvements that will provide improved service, functions, or repair. Must adhere to all safety programs in place at Nordion. This position is deemed a Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW). A Nuclear Energy Worker (NEW) is defined by the Nuclear Safety and Control Act as a person who is required, in the course of the person’s business, or occupation in connection with a nuclear substance or nuclear facility to perform duties in such circumstances that there is a reasonable probability that the person may receive a dose of radiation that is greater than the prescribed limit for the general public (1mSv per year for the whole body).
