Job summary

Cementation Americas is seeking a full-time Shipping/Receiving Associate in North Bay, ON. You will handle loading/unloading, packing, and storage preparation, verify shipments, and maintain yard and logs. A valid G licence and heavy equipment experience are required.

Incentives include participation in Cementation's discretionary corporate bonus program. High school diploma is required and computerized inventory experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Class G driver's licence is required.
• Experience operating heavy or industrial equipment is required.
• Experience with computerized parts/inventory management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Shipping and receiving: load/unload transports, prepare equipment for shipment or storage.
• Verify shipment contents for accuracy, condition and quantity.
• Maintain yard organization and perform snow removal, sanding and shovelling.
• Operate mobile equipment as required and perform parts pickup/delivery in North Bay.
• Unloading and unpacking of sea cans; maintain log books and submit reports.
• Maintain high standard of workplace housekeeping and follow site safety system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Health and Safety

• Work in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Cementation.
• Ensure he or she understands the company policies and works in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Ensures adequate measures are taken to deal with any known hazard that may arise in the course of work under their control.
• Ensures that the hazards, which cannot be eliminated immediately, are reported without delay to higher authority, and that personnel are aware of such hazards and of safety measures to be adopted to minimize them as far as reasonably practicable.
• Ensures personal protective equipment is used as required.
• Utilizes proper procedures for mechanical duties and strictly adheres to the project lock out policy.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for shipping and receiving including:
  • Loading and un-loading of transports and delivery trucks
  • Packing and preparation of equipment and materials for shipment or storage.
• Verifying shipment contents for accuracy, condition, and quantity.
• Responsible for yard organization and maintenance including snow removal, sanding and shovelling.
• Operate mobile equipment as required.
• Perform parts pickup and delivery within North Bay
• Unloading and unpacking of sea cans
• Ensure all required log books are maintained and updated.
• Submit oral and written reports relevant to job duties.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the workplace.
• Utilize the 5 point safety system as specified within the site safety management system.
• Create shipping documents as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in computerized parts and inventory management considered an asset
• Must have and maintain a valid class G driver's licence.
• Experience operating heavy or industrial equipment is required

• Perform work in accordance with all organization, as well as provincial and federal health and safety standards and legislation, ensuring highest standard of safety is upheld.

• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs
