Job summary

British Columbia Public School Employers' Association | Make a Future - Careers in BC Education seeks a noon-hour supervisor to assist in the supervision and safety of students during the scheduled lunch hour, reporting to an assigned supervisor. The role is temporary until June 25, 2027, with a ten-month academic year schedule when school is in session.

Qualifications include Grade 12 or equivalent, six months of related experience or volunteer work with children, and WCB Level 1 First Aid

Qualifications

• Communication, orally and in writing, as required.
• Demonstrate good judgment and intervention techniques for student behaviour.
• Be self-directed, flexible and work independently.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Maintain a positive manner with students and the public to contribute to the school tone.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervision and safety of students during the noon-hour.
• Maintain a high degree of visibility in the school area.
• Maintain appropriate discipline.
• Provide first aid as qualified.
• Report safety and discipline issues immediately.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
