The Non-Registered Technologist performs and is responsible for a variety of laboratory tests and procedures under the supervision of a CMLTO registered Medical Laboratory Technologist and/or Medical/Scientific staff. They support 24/7 operations, working all shifts on a rotational basis including weekends and holidays. The role involves working in TDM/Toxicology/Special Chemistry within the Division of Biochemistry.
The Department of Paediatric Laboratory Medicine (DPLM) at SickKids is a leading, world-class facility dedicated to reducing childhood illness impact by providing diagnostic information for early treatment decisions. DPLM offers specialized diagnostic services, conducts original research, and comprises divisions such as Clinical Biochemistry, Genome Diagnostics, Haematopathology, Microbiology, and Pathology. All laboratories are accredited by Accreditation Canada Diagnostics.
