Job summary

Johnson Electric in Mississauga, ON is seeking a Non-Destructive Testing Engineering Specialist to develop, implement, and improve NDT systems across manufacturing operations.

You will troubleshoot, validate equipment, analyze data for trends, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with production, engineering, and suppliers. This role offers hands-on development and exposure to diverse projects in a global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years in manufacturing, quality, or NDT-related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of NDT methods: vision systems, eddy current, magnetic particle, acoustic resonance, dye penetrant.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and debug NDT systems across operations.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize NDT systems with suppliers.
  • Reduce false rejects and improve system accuracy and reliability.
  • Standardize documentation and work instructions for NDT processes.
  • Evaluate and implement new inspection technologies (contact and non-contact).
  • Assist with equipment selection, installation, and validation.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and root causes.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to resolve quality issues.
