Job summary

GTR Worldwide is seeking a flooring installer to carry out installation, repair, and replacement of diverse floor coverings in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The role includes surface preparation, precise measurement, material cutting, and safe completion of installations to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities include preparing subfloors, measuring and laying out carpets, vinyl, laminate, and hardwood, applying adhesives and seam treatments, and finishing trim.

Qualifications

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent education.
• Completion of vocational training or relevant on-the-job training in floor covering installation or a related trade, or equivalent experience.
• Practical experience installing multiple types of flooring such as carpet, vinyl, laminate, and hardwood.
• Ability to read plans, take accurate measurements, and calculate material estimates.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, kneel, bend, and work in varied conditions.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and ability to follow safety procedures.
