Job summary

Retailors is seeking a Store Director to lead Nike retail stores within Fox Group Canada. You will assist the Store Manager across sales, merchandising, operations and accounting, stepping in for the Head Coach as needed.

We value weekend/evening/holiday availability and a passion for sports fashion. You’ll recruit talent, drive brand initiatives, and deliver exceptional customer experiences and store results.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager by managing store functions (sales, merchandising, operations, accounting).
• Perform all store management functions in absence of Head Coach.
• Coordinate and supervise daily activities of business support staff.
• Set priorities for the team and coordinate with other supervisors.
• Apply management skills to improve efficiency and achieve objectives.
• Recruit and hire top talent to maintain a diverse team.
• Set priorities to meet daily deadlines and plan short-term goals.
• Support brand plans and participate in initiatives and programs.
• Prepare statistical and narrative reports of store activities.
• Communicate with Visual team and oversee site maintenance.

Additionally, Fox Group Canada is significantly expanding its business portfolio in Canada, and the role of the Store Director is pivotal in leading the future of Nike Retail Stores within the company.

What You’ll Do:

• Assisting the Store Manager (Head Coach) by managing one or more of the store functions (sales, merchandising, operations, accounting, etc.) or by managing a particular floor/business in a store
• Performing all store management functions in absence of Head Coach
• Coordinating and supervises the daily activities of business support staff
• Setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with other supervisors
• Applying management skills to improve efficiency and accomplish operational objectives within own unit
• Recruiting and hiring top talent to ensure a diverse and energetic work environment
• Setting priorities for employees to meet daily deadlines; developing plans to meet short-term objectives
• Performing work in support of brand plans; demonstrates link between daily work and company mission; participates in initiatives, and programs
• Preparing statistical and narrative reports of store activities
• Communicating with Visual team and/or oversee physical site maintenance

What we’d love to see:

• Extensive retail experience including 2+ years experience in management
• Enthusiasm and passion about sports and / or sports fashion
• Availability to work weekends, evenings and holidays, and some overnights as required.

Pay range: $43,000 - 50,000/annually
