Job summary

Retailors, a leading retailer and Nike partner in Canada, seeks a Store Director to lead Nike Retail Stores across our Canadian network. Reporting to the Head Coach, you will oversee sales, merchandising, operations and store performance to deliver world-class service and sales results.

This role requires extensive retail experience with 2+ years in management, weekend/evening work, and a passion for sport fashion.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of management experience in retail.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, holidays and some overnights.
• Enthusiasm for sports or sports fashion.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager by managing store functions (sales, merchandising, operations, accounting).
• Take responsibility in the absence of Head Coach and supervise daily activities of staff.
• Set priorities, coordinate work, and improve efficiency to meet objectives.
• Recruit, hire and develop top talent to maintain a diverse team.
• Prepare reports on store performance and communicate with Visual team.

Additionally, Fox Group Canada is significantly expanding its business portfolio in Canada, and the role of the Store Director is pivotal in leading the future of Nike Retail Stores within the company.

What You'll Do

• Assisting the Store Manager (Head Coach) by managing one or more of the store functions (sales, merchandising, operations, accounting, etc.) or by managing a particular floor/business in a store
• Performing all store management functions in absence of Head Coach
• Coordinating and supervises the daily activities of business support staff
• Setting priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with other supervisors
• Applying management skills to improve efficiency and accomplish operational objectives within own unit
• Recruiting and hiring top talent to ensure a diverse and energetic work environment
• Setting priorities for employees to meet daily deadlines; developing plans to meet short-term objectives
• Performing work in support of brand plans; demonstrates link between daily work and company mission; participates in initiatives, and programs
• Preparing statistical and narrative reports of store activities
• Communicating with Visual team and/or oversee physical site maintenance

Pay range: $43,000 - 50,000/annually
