Job summary

Apple Express Ltd. seeks a Night Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily logistics, including receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping. You will manage staff scheduling, performance, and training while promoting safety, compliance, and continuous improvement to meet operational goals.

The role requires strong leadership and communication, with experience in warehouse operations, MHE, and hands-on problem solving. This is a full-time on-site position based in Mississauga, Canada.

Qualifications

  • Min 5 years of supervisory/management experience, preferably in a warehouse.
  • Must be detail-oriented with good math skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across all levels.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and reliably.
  • Good physical condition; ability to lift 55 pounds safely.
  • Must work independently and in a team, under deadlines.
  • Proficient with company WMS, Excel, Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and schedules staff for receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping to ensure productivity and cost-efficiency.
  • Conducts daily meetings to organize assignments and adjust work to meet production schedules.
  • Trains associates on SOPs and ensures adherence to record-keeping protocols.
  • Ensures timely receipt of products and shipping to provide optimal customer service.
  • Acts as liaison between clients, operations, and transportation; recruits warehouse staff as needed.
  • Provides development, manages performance, and enforces policies in a positive environment.
  • Promotes health and safety values and ensures compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Monitors safety communications, investigates incidents, and implements corrective actions.
  • Participates in budget planning and suggests improvements for efficiency.

Reporting to the Senior Warehouse Manager and Vendor Support, the Night Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily logistics activities, ensuring efficient receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping. This role manages staff scheduling, performance, and training while promoting safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential to drive productivity and meet operational goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Job Key Contributions/Task)
  • Plans and schedules staff for receiving, order fulfillment, and shipping to ensure productivity and cost-efficiency.
  • Conducts daily meetings to organize assignments and adjusts work to meet production schedules.
  • Trains associates on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensures adherence to record-keeping protocols.
  • Ensures timely receipt of products, order fulfillment, and shipping to provide optimal customer service.
  • Acts as a liaison between clients, operations, and transportation; recruits warehouse staff as needed.
  • Provides development and training, manages performance, and enforces policies in a positive work environment.
  • Promotes health and safety values, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
  • Monitors safety communication, investigates incidents, and implements corrective actions.

Qualifications and experience
  • Require a minimum of 5 years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in a Warehouse setting. Equivalent education can be substituted.

  • Must communicate at all levels of an organization, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and reliably.
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift 55 pounds safely.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to perform under strict deadlines and in a stressful environment.
  • Must possess sound computer skills, including the company's WMS, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
