Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is seeking a licensed Millwright for night-shift maintenance in our Winnipeg facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, install processing equipment, read schematics, and perform preventive work orders in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Red Seal Millwright license, tools, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Night shifts run Sunday–Thursday, 9:30pm–6:00am, with a $0.55/hour premium on night hours.

Qualifications

• Must have Red Seal Millwright license.
• Electrical repair knowledge preferred.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Knowledge of plant and equipment operations.
• Ability to organize and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Strong math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Available for weekend overtime as production demands require.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot/repair/install processing equipment and read mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Carry out work requests and apply corrective actions.
• Record and manage work orders and inventory on maintenance program.
• Extensive mechanical knowledge including power transmission, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Machining and fabricating for equipment repairs/upgrades; welding as needed.
• Adhere to all plant Food/Health and Safety policies.
