Job Summary

Job Responsibilities
- Set production goals and expectations
- Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment. Set up and operate machinery
- Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines
- Operate forklift as directed and without supervision while adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Inspect work in progress and finished products
- Oversee the daily preventive maintenance program
- Track and report inventory and parts usage
- Analyze scorecards and production reports for the day shift
- Train, promote, and discipline employees
- Ensure all safety rules are followed and employees adhere to safety programs
- Supervise department employees to meet quality and production standards
- Perform other duties as assigned, temporarily or permanently, as needed
Job Requirements
- Previous team lead experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience providing on-the-job training, including operation of forklift, bobcat, loader, and troubleshooting production machines
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to walk up and down elevated catwalks and stairs and stand for long periods
- Ability to work in all environmental conditions and extreme temperatures
