Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is seeking a qualified Electrician for night shift maintenance in our Edmonton area facility. You will troubleshoot, repair and install processing equipment, maintain VFDs and motor controls, and support safe plant operations while upholding animal welfare commitments.

You will read schematics, document labour and parts in SAP, and collaborate with Production and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure quality production.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Ticker or Red Seal Electrician Certification (required).
• Must have own hand tools; power tools provided.
• Strong knowledge of plant and equipment operations.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical issues quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Good mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and install processing equipment including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Program and maintain VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and safety devices.
• Read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to support troubleshooting.
• Maintain records of labour, parts, and inventory in SAP or equivalent system.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and cross-functional teams.
• Adhere to Health & Safety, HACCP, WHMIS, MSDS, and company policies.
