Job summary

Mitten Building Products, based in Paris, Ontario, is seeking a Plant Maintenance Electrician to join a manufacturing team. You will install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures and control devices, reading drawings and specifications to keep production running safely and efficiently.

This replacement position operates on Continental Nights with a starting wage of 40.33 CAD per hour plus a 1.00 CAD night-shift premium, and offers opportunities to mentor apprentices,

Qualifications

• Three years of Industrial Electrician experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and repair work.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring and equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems using test equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep maintenance records.
• Direct and train workers and apprentices on electrical work.
• Work on other electrical projects as required.
• Perform mechanical maintenance on plant equipment.
• Ensure safety regulations compliance.
• Shift is Continental Nights.
