Bethany Care Society in Calgary, AB is seeking a Health Care Aide for a part-time, fixed-term role at Bethany Riverview. You will support residents with daily living, document observations, and work with the care team to ensure safety and dignity.

The position runs nights (22:45–07:00) as part of a 0.68 FTE schedule, with a 17 x 7.75 hr cycle, starting 2026-10-26 and ending 2027-04-22. Applicants must meet CLHA requirements and maintain records in the health care file.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate.
• Registered with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Experience as HCA preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a physically and mentally demanding environment.
• English reading, writing and spoken communication skills.
• Strong observation, communication and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident-centered care and follows care plans.
• Accurately documents care and observations for the RN or LPN.
• Maintains safety and follows health and safety policies.
• Demonstrates Bethany's mission and values in daily work.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to reassess care needs.
