Job summary

Canucks Sports & Entertainment is seeking a Conversions Crew Leader in Vancouver to oversee overnight/graveyard conversions and lead a team to complete work safely and efficiently. This is an hourly, part-time role requiring strong leadership and safety discipline.

The role reports to the Manager, Conversions and involves task delegation, cross-team coordination, equipment maintenance, and upskilling staff to streamline conversion times while upholding all safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience leading, directing, and supervising staff.
• 2+ years of forklift experience.
• Ability to plan work and direct workers under time constraints.
• Experience in client or customer relations.
• Proven track record of managing conflict and staff performance.
• Experience maintaining mechanical equipment and safe operation of tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Event leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct crews for rapid conversions, safely and compliantly.
• Assign tasks with managers to optimize crew utilization.
• Communicate with fellow crew leaders on assignments.
• Ensure conversion equipment is safely maintained.
• Organize tool issuance and tracking.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments.
• Train and upskill conversion team members.
• Track staff performance and address issues.
• Help create new procedures to reduce conversion times.
• Oversee conversions through to completion.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to safety standards.
• Uphold crew expectations and keep shifts engaged.
