Job summary

Aerotek in St. Mary's, ON is seeking a Sanitation Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant food production environment. The role focuses on cleaning production areas and machinery, following GMPs, and using lock-out/tag-out procedures to ensure equipment is safely shut down during sanitation tasks.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of sanitation experience in food production.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Experience with general labor in a production environment.
• Background in production and assembly work.
• Familiarity with machine operation and basic production machinery.
• Experience with packaging processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of production areas, including yogurt and goat cheese processing lines, using appropriate cleaning agents such as soap and water.
• Execute lock-out/tag-out procedures to safely shut down and secure machinery before cleaning or maintenance activities.
• Clean and sanitize production machinery, tools, and equipment to meet food safety and quality standards.
• Follow established sanitation protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety guidelines throughout all tasks.
• Inspect cleaned areas and equipment to ensure they meet cleanliness and hygiene requirements before production resumes.
